Orienteering 54:08 intensity: (5:48 @1) + (45:09 @2) + (3:11 @3) 6.96 km (7:47 / km) +139m 7:04 / km
ahr:139 max:152

EPOC middle event on Norland Moor.
Just taking it easy, nice to run on a local area I haven't run on before. Deep heather and bilberry off the paths so slow going, but interesting enough. Nathan did 42 to my 52.

Cycling 23:06 intensity: (22:48 @1) + (18 @2) 6.06 km (15.7 kph) +95m
ahr:107 max:135

6.1k, +100m, 15.7kph
Back from Norland, except the descent to Sowerby doesn't count as training, and then I experimented with a path on the S side of the river between Sowerby and Lud which involved a lot of hike-a-bike, so really this is just back from Tenterfields.

Tri club ride to Barley for the biggest and best scone I've ever eaten at the café. Feeling a bit autumnal, wore a thermal for the first half, but pleasant and sunny all the same.

Note

Had a good chat with Sarah Rollins about the headache/fatigue situation. No quick fixes obviously and it was mostly a kick up the butt to be a bit more disciplined with chilling out. Her advice was do 50% less next week, then if there's no improvement do less again, and so on. I'm a bit sceptical because any time I've done less during the summer I haven't felt any better, but I probably just need to stick with it for longer and not get tempted into things. Said no to SHIs for a start, and should probably do the same for CSC, or at least be disciplined and jog round.

Also will start tracking resting HR and HR variability. Obviously low RHR is good, though I sort of feel it might go up from losing fitness, and high HRV is good.

Withens Res loop with Sarah. Very nice, sunny and warm, but head probs a little worse than average again.

Was going to have a day off as felt quite tired and headachy again this morning, but a full-family run round Baitings got organised to go have a look at the almost empty reservoir. First lap with everyone (so Mum-pace) and with quite a few stops then another lap with Dad and Sarah. Lowest HR ever I believe.

Stoodley Pike, head a tad worse than average, plodding/stumbling my way up so kept it short and easy. Was a bit tired wandering round mapping earlier this morning too. Stopped for a chat to some CROWS volunteers who were digging some new drains.

ahr:127 max:141

Withens Gate. Headache fairly average and quads a bit tired still so just taking it easy. Did about 2.5 hours mapping of the Clough this morning too, it's coming along nicely.

Running 28:24 intensity: (23:24 @1) + (5:00 @2) 3.88 km (7:20 / km) +136m 6:14 / km

Easy jog up the Clough and round the fields plus 4mins barefoot at the end. Head not great and legs quite tired too so just a little pootle to get some blood flowing. HRM didn't connect for some reason.
