Orienteering 52:00 [4] 6.4 km (8:07 / km)

O-Intervals on Skårefjell South. Forgot my watch (but remembered my HR monitor! go me!), so don't know the exact times/distances. Guessing from the club GPS. 8x approx 5min intervals plus jogging rests between.

Running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 3.0 km (6:40 / km)

Guesstimated Warm Up. Jog on the track and then went to do some of the WU controls, but didn't understand the map, ha. So we'll call that running WU rather than orienteering.

Running 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

WD Hoped they'd nicely felled the trees around the track rather than over it. They had not.

Ellipse 45:00 [2] 9.0 km (5:00 / km)

Down at Halden Bad. Got there the same time as Olav, so had an ellipse buddy. He claimed the TV remote had no batteries, leaving us watching the reality/documentary/trash show about the Oslo-Denmark ferry. But I think we all know that's really his fave show. Luckily when it got too exciting, we could watch the chess on the other TV. ;)
Fun session. The ellipse here had very different settings from the one at the main Spenst, but the setting felt about right.

Running 1:08:00 [2] 9.9 km (6:52 / km) +250m 6:06 / km

Home from work at 7. Long day preparing for field work next week, and plenty more to be done before leaving Monday morning.
Was not in the mood to let work rob me of my evening, so did another sharp turnaround and got out running. No plan on where to go, but found myself at the back of Venås following random tracks. So decided that was as good as anything and tried to run as many of the single tracks up and down and around Venås without repeating any. Boy there are a lot, and it is very very hard to keep track of just where you are in the dark and cloud!
Ended up running longer than intended but would need a fair bit longer to complete the full set of tracks. Little bit disappointed it was only 230m climb, went up that slope a fair few times!

Forgot my HR monitor. Standard.

Running 25:20 [3] 4.6 km (5:30 / km) +150m 4:44 / km

Late home from work and committed to coaching UFO group at høiås, so did a very fast turn around to get out and run up to høiås. Straight up lysløpa. Lights are still out in some places, resulting in me giving a biker a bit of a fright at one point. I mean, I had my light with me, but was enjoying running by feel.

...forgot my HR monitor again.

Orienteering 45:00 [1] 3.8 km (11:51 / km) +110m 10:21 / km

'coaching' with Ida. The training ended up being set up differently from planned, so the kids were all in pairs alone rather than in larger groups with one trainer. All good, we tried to go backwards around the course to check on the pairs, but being dark and with headlamps, most of them didn't recognise us as coaches and kept running when we tried to stop them :')
So we decided to chase behind them around the second half of the course instead. Except they were so spread out that we only caught the slowest few pairs anyway haha. So we just did the last controls ourselves...but then spent 5mins trying to find the last control. Oops.

Ah well, it was fun and neither of us was expecting anything trainingwise.

Note

Not feeling the love for training today. So didn't. My motivation has been pretty fragile since Smålandskavlen, so time to just listen to my body and mind when I don't feel up to training. Motivation will come back. Especially when second summer comes.

Running warm up/down 16:00 [2] 2.5 km (6:24 / km) +30m 6:02 / km

Joined the Norwegian team up near Moss for prologue/chasing start training. Forgot my HR monitor.

Orienteering 20:05 [4] 2.9 km (6:56 / km) +60m 6:17 / km

Prologue training. Only goal was not to make a mistake, that lasted 3 controls before I made a big parallel error on #4. After that it was just normal training and not really pursuit/chasing start training.
Legs very tired and brain even more.

Running 13:00 [2] 1.8 km (7:13 / km) +30m 6:40 / km

Orienteering 27:30 [3] 3.75 km (7:20 / km) +60m 6:47 / km

Turned out to be reverse chasing start so I had the pack chasing me down. Body was tired as and brain was somewhere entirely off the map, was flying on autopilot. Easily overtaken by the others, and compounded my day by falling onto a stick toward the end. Very glad I caught myself before falling fully on it but still have a nice impact mark on my armpit/sideboob.

Running 16:30 [1] 2.55 km (6:28 / km) +35m 6:03 / km

7 PM

Football 1:15:00 [2] 6.0 km (12:30 / km)

First football training in a long time. Not much has changed. Same people that pass and same that don't, same people that run and same that don't. Same dodgy groin
Good to be out and kicking again though, and in shorts even ;)

Running 20:00 [2] 4.0 km (5:00 / km)

To training and downtown to collect my bike.

Back light was still happily flashing away after I left it on by mistake this morning.

Biking 15:00 [2] 3.2 km (4:41 / km) +125m 3:55 / km

Up up up all the way home

Running 1:38:00 [3] 15.5 km (6:19 / km) +325m 5:43 / km

Spent most of the day recovering from Kjerringfest. And then when I was recovered enough, realised my headlamp and watch needed charging. So got some bonus recovery time.
Eventually headed out into the gathering darkness and took myself around the West side of høiåsmarka. Not a soul out there with me, until the end, when I spotlighted no less than 3 cats in the same field. Probably masterminding their plan for world domination or something. Their eyes followed every step til I was out of sight, was expecting claws in my back the rest of the way home.
