Leamington 10k Handicap race.

Thought I was doing OK until I got to the end and saw my time!
Had a few things against me... Not least my glut which is a bit twingy at the moment and I have to be careful when running to keep my stride controlled!

Gaslight Hill. 5 tiimes full hill with build up on flat.
Then 7 x short hill sprints.

My right Glut twinged slightly on one of the full on sprints... which is slightly concerning.

Longest run in a while but felt pretty good really.

Didn't expect much and didn't cover myself in glory. ABout a minute slower than 2 years ago... but that time I did a few practice runs and had more determination!

We did good. 3rd out of 20 teams.
Scored 700 out of the 870 points.
A couple of nav errors that cost us a few minutes.
Otherwise a solid plan and we executed it well.

Picture postcard day. I have enjoyed these 4 hour Rogaines.

Hill Sprints with Harriers Club. Part of Steve RJ training group now!
Easy run to Gaslight hill.
Then
Long/Short x 5
Long = Gaslight drive up the 2 hills to the Cambridge Plateau.
Short = Just the 2nd bit on the road.

Phew.. worked really hard.
