130m Climb

Dad shadowed me to see how im getting on in the forest.
I had such a good race, this may be because he was right behind me?
But superb navigation from myself :D
Had trouble at my control 8 which was on a thicket and there were loads of thickets on the ground not marked on the map...tricky, found it in the end though :)

My control 10 messed up on. In this disgusting ground with wires and glass and a right pig sty. Yuck, looked round for my control for ages, found it in the end after lots of searching.

Apart from that pretty solid, running well = HAPPY :D

Running (Warm Up) 10:48 [3] 2.3 km (4:42 / km)
shoes: Asics

Decided to warm up with some AFD girls, but then Steph joined us, so was a pretty rapid warm up!!

Running race (Cross Country) 23:53 [5] 5.5 km (4:21 / km)
shoes: Spikes

Southern Cross-Country Champs
U17s & U20s

= 12/53 (U20s only)
= 23/108 (17s & 20s combined)

Very muddy course, was disgusting. My legs felt dead, but I battled my way through the challenging race. Lost places on the hills and in the last bit of the course. Started to feel sick, but carried on as fast as I could.

Im pleased with my race and the results considering I haven't had a rest day this week and done some good training :D

Ran against Steph Twell for the first time, so cool :P
She beat me by 2 minutes though haha, so was quite a wy infront of me!

Running (Warm Down) 10:27 [2] 1.46 km (7:09 / km)
shoes: Spikes

Headlight failed to work on the start line so was lent someones, and no one could work out how to tighten it, and it fell off when i was running so tried holding it. Didnt work at all so called it a day at no.5.

Was going well up till then though...
So annoyed :(

Note
(injured) (sick)

Supposed to do a tempo, was going great and on my way to smashing a pb by quite a few minutes...but then my tummy kicked in.

Omg so much stuff is stopping me run at the moment, I have endless probelms and I'm so fed up. I wana train loads, but I'm getting stopped by these stupid injuries and pains.

Not happy :(

Running tempo (Road) 37:46 [4] 8.3 km (4:33 / km)
(sick) shoes: Nikes

Going incredibly fast!!!!!!
Some good hills included, still havent figured out how to work out the climb on my watchy.
Was amazing...till my tummy ache came on.
Think I've figuered out why it tends to come on on a Thursday.

Had to do some jogging for a bit which is why my time is slow.

PB for this is 34 mins, and I did over 5 mins of slow jogging. So looking forwed to doing it again to smash that time :D

Strength and Conditioning (Spine & Pelvis work) 5:00 [1]

Stretching (Calfs) 10:00 [0]

Warm Down (Plantar Facia) 11:00 [0]

Orienteering race (Sidbury Hill) 1:01:13 [5] 8.9 km (6:53 / km)
(injured) shoes: Twisters

A Course
7.9km

I put it as intensity five as I tried to run as fast as I could, even though it was sooo slow. Dont know why I havent been able to run fast the last two days. I think my body is trying to tell me to stop, but I'm not going to as I'm not even doing that much training. My injuries seem to be coming back though which is a right pain.

Sarah hung the controls and I collected them.

Pushed it quite hard and was running well after a tiring weekend. Talked out loud if started to lose focus. Can do most of it in head now though. Used compass well and looked up lots. Made some little mistakes:

1 1:35
2 0:43
3 0:45
4 0:29
5 3:16 - running around features which werent mapped, worked it out in the end though
6 1:54 - dodgy route choice through garbage
7 2:04
8 1:07
9 0:41
10 1:14 - too high, didn't take a good bearing
11 4:40
12 0:51
13 3:03
14 1:47 - ran around some pits/depressions which werent mine
15 1:08
16 2:43
17 1:04
18 0:51
F 0:58
