WL 2 @ North Seatac. Beautiful day. The atmosphere was great; it seemed like there were tons of people everywhere, mostly kids, and the vibes were good. Everyone is happy when the sun comes out in November.
Just after I finished Mack and I met and were chatting with a guy who was waiting for his kid to finish, and it turned out he began orienteering in high school and was just a few years older than me, so we were surely in WIOL at the same time. Now, he has started his two elementary-age kids in orienteering. Goes to show that though it sometimes seems like the retention rate is miniscule, there are dividends even on a generational timeframe.
