Nancy gets so mad at me when I do that. I think there's something that she tells me to do (ice it? don't fall down?) that I consistently forget.

Nice legs!

I did ice the first day or so to take down the swelling in the goose egg part (the lighter area).

Roger really hates when I do this as well, especially when it is In a visible area which people at work see and give him a hard time.  I had to wait a few days before asking him to take the picture.  And, my long shorts cover the damage, and I have resisted showing it off to our co-workers.

Yeah, Brooke, luckily it looks worse then it feels! Had to post the picture for an attention fix.

And, thanks, J-J. ;)

I've heard of putting "arnica" on bruises to speed healing. It's a homeopathic remedy. I use it occasionally but am not really sure if it really does anything...!

Ouch! I don't see how it can't feel so bad. I hope at least that it heals quickly.

Come to think of it...that bruise is large enough for you to do your own clinical trial of arnica effectiveness. Just put arnica on half, leave the other half alone, and report back to us on results. ;-)

That one is big enough to map :-)

Wow, I think that's the biggest bruise I've ever seen. You win!

Hope it heals quickly, by whatever means.

Yikes!! Knowing AP, this is probably going to kick off a Biggest Bruise Contest, kinda like the Rootstock one.

I do *not* want to enter that contest!
The colors are pretty, anyway. I had a big bruise from my chiropractor's Graston technique. Hurt to sit down for a few days, so I hope you heal quickly!

I had one just like that (but not quite as large) on my upper arm after a horseback riding fall. My arm smacked into the jump when I landed, causing the bruise. The jump was designed like a garden fence gate, with vertical slats. This made a row of clear spots in the bruise, like the big clear spot yours has, located at the actual points of impact. It only took about a week to clear up most of the way, even though I thought it would be around much longer.
