Brown X course. This didn’t work out at all for my leg. Very strained biceps femoris, or whatever the problem is. No trouble finding any controls, but quit after #7 and came back. Also a watch problem, in that I inadvertently stopped it at #1 and then started it again at #2. Or something like that. Actually started back after #7, then decided to go back uphill to get #8, but quit for real before I got to it. A struggle to get back.

From PV with Rhonda. I did some intensive theragun work on my leg before heading out, and that loosened me up quite a bit, so this turned out to be one of my sparkier recent outings.

Note

Garmin watch glitch.

Woke up this morning and the body battery function said that I had declined 7 points during the night, and I was only at 29. So what the heck is wrong? And then over the next few hours it dwindled down to the dreaded 5%, a level not seen since my first bout with COVID. So I'm feeling pretty punk and thinking I must have some dread disease until I realize that no, I'm fine. It's the watch that is wacked out. So at some point I'll call the Garmin guys and see what they think is going on with it. They are usually pretty helpful. Meanwhile, I am back to the good old days comprising the first 75 years of my life, when I was blissfully unaware of what my body battery was. Not that I really know what it means now.

At WH Reservoir, killing a bit of time between doctor's appt and Italian class. As I had anticipated, the doc sort of threw up his hands, said maybe this is not the fault of my back at all. Go see a knee guy. So I guess I will. Frustrating, but not really surprising.

With Rhonda from PV, before continuing over to visit our friend Lorrie, who is having some radiation therapy and heading into a bout of chemotherapy. Daunting stuff for a lady of 90, but she feels like she is getting a bit stronger and is fairly optimistic. Lucky for her to have 3 devoted daughters, taking turns staying with her. Also quite a few nice friends and neighbors. I say lucky, but those relationships didn't arrive from nowhere, but are built up from a lifetime of her own kindnesses and good deeds.

Certainly rather cold out today. Went to the 5K mark and a little more, based on how much time we had before we had said we were coming.
