A chance to run the sprint courses with the flags in the woods, before picking them up. Those young women sure are fast. This was B. Slowed down a bit by the dog, but certainly not all that much.

Sprint A. Pretty hard. Not happy with the route I tried to 3 where I got caught in laurel, and slipped on a rock and went down leaving 4, but otherwise just chugging along. Seems like a lot more motivation with flags in the woods than without. Left the dog home.

Very fine day at Ratlum. Good company, no one lost in the woods. Best times on both courses by Becks, but not enough to hold off the winning team, KPop and Greg.

impromptu pullups competition - made 9 before I felt a pulling in the lower abs. The wealthy N was the runaway winner. Lost count as he bobbed up and down.

All three grandchildren in residence. Zoe and Lucy have been here since the wedding, and their mom went up to Dartmouth Yesterday am for her 25th reunion. I worked out a deal with Charles Jr to pick up Rebs in Bridgeport at the train station.

Back aching, so I got myself out and over to Healthtrax for an elliptical session, which seems to make it better. It was a pretty good improvement.

In West Simsbury. Forgot the Garmin. Nice day. I made the mistake of tucking my phone in my back pocket and got interrupted by one text and three calls.

Trot around course A. Thought I would do both, but this was after supper, getting dark, getting tired, a little too overfed. So just one was enough. Got some exercise anyway today, what with dog walking and brush mowing.

This was my best time on this course. Hard to imagine I could go much faster at my current state.
