running 39:25 [3] 6.02 km (6:33 / km) +163m 5:46 / km

Rahel Friedrich and Andreas came to visit us today, almost a yearly tradition in the Automne. The boys went running in the morning before lunch with Lena and we cooked lunch and played with Matti. After some time to digest, once the kids were asleep, Rahel and I went on a short run. I haven't run with someone else in a long time (and especially not someone who basically trains professionally), so it ment for some huffing and puffing for me. We did chat and Rahel was very kind to me and kept a reasonable pace for me. It was fun to catch up and also hear some of the gossip within the Swiss team; feel so far aways from the world they are in that turns around training, selections, WOC and Sweden, who changed clubs, etc. Fun to hear a bit about it:-)

Oof, my legs felt heavy today, but it was wonderful to get out again.

Today has been a good day:)

At least when things have been tough, you appreciate the good moments more. I am excited about the coming weeks, they will be better than the last ones and that is nice:-)

My legs felt light while running, but it was cold! I should have worn more clothes. Didn't get out while the sun was shinning and underestimated how much colder it gets when the sun has set.

aerobics/strength 29:00 [3]

T25 lower body focus.

We got some bad news and I needed to blow off some steam, but I can't exercise outdoors because of my cough, so I did a T25 plus the cool down. It was tough and my calves were burning and I got sweaty. Just what I needed.

Afterwards I ate lunch and while I was eating I could feel that my stomach didn't feel right. Felt nauseous all afternoon.

Now, I'm laying in bed because I just threw up. A short term relief is here, but if this stomach flu is like it is with the kids, than I have a few more hours of pain ahead of me.

indoor bike (hometrainer) 30:13 [1] 0.6 km (50:07 / km) +8m 47:00 / km

Got on the bike in attempt to sweat a bit and have my blood circulate a bit. I am convinced that this is necessary for the well being of my body. When I don't exercise regularly, my armpit sweat starts to smell. Normally I am pretty much oder free, so I guess exercising really gets some sort of toxins out of your body.

Note

So to add salt to my wounds, I had to get Lena from daycare today because she started throwing up. She threw up 5 times this afternoon, most often on me. Poor girl, but between bouts she was actually happy and playing. She slept only twice for about 45 minutes this afternoon and luckily she only threw up in bed once. Now she seems better and wants to eat food, so the worst is over. Now we also know that Matti's stomach problem last week was not food poisoning. My head is still pounding, am I also fighting this bug? We will see.

When will this chain of illness stop? I can't take much more of it.
