On the way to Stocksdale, I drove by Wyandotte and thought that I should go check out the new MTB trails (new to me, I think they've been there a year or 2). So on the way home from Stocksdale, I decided to stop and check some of them out.
I was tired and probably should have just skipped it. The sun came out just as I arrived and the temps jumped a few degrees. I was tired. After about 20 minutes I was just worn out.
I took one small fall. I rouned a corner and met a deer standing in the middle of the trail. The deer just froze. So I stopped and unclipped. Then the deer moved, so I clipped in and took a pedal stroke. Then the deer stopped and frooze and I started to unclip, then the deer moved, I started to clip my foot back in but at that point I wasn't actually moving forward and my balance was a bit off. If I'd just pulled my foot all the way out, I'd have had no trouble. But, I was torn between doing that and clipping back in...and I tipped over. Then the deer left. No harm, but the kind of thing that wouldn't have happened if I weren't tired.
