running 51:00 [3] 10.4 km (4:54 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

Out early again. Just cruising this morning. The early exercise was clearly popular today, with more people out than I can remember being noral.

running 37:50 [3] 8.0 km (4:44 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

The run that shouldn't have happened. Due to a number of circumstances I was supposed to be commuting to Adelaide for a couple of days. Yesterday went without a hitch, but today was another story. Traffic issues meant that the taxi I had booked didn't arrive in time, so I made an executive decision not to give it a miss rather than catch the next flight. Delegated sole responsibility to my collegue who was not simialrly inconvenienced. Bonuses for me were that because no one was expecting me in the office I could go for a short run, have breakfast at home and then head in. Extra pluses were could do the email rather than at 9 tonight; breakfast at home with Glenda instead of more plane food; and I could catch up on several things that the travel schedule was getting in the way of. I have another trip next week anyway so residua issues can possibly be dealt with then.

running 45:40 [3] 9.4 km (4:51 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

An early morning run as the next few days are busy. Despite the early hour it was humid and cooling down took longer than I really had time for.

running warm up/down 5:00 [2] 1.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

Bit of a warmup and a marginally longer warm down. Not the night for unnecessary energy expenditure.

pseud-o 42:00 [3] * 9.1 km (4:37 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

Opening night of the Western Series at Newport Lakes. Most of the usual suspects were there. A warm evening, so decided to run steadily. Course was really a large outer loop, with the only choice being how to go through the inner controls to the outer ring, and how to come back to the finish. There were a couple of options which split the field up well. Came home 2nd behind Jun, but in front of Ted Van G and Stuart Eliot. Pleasing way to start the season.

running 50:10 [3] 10.1 km (4:58 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

An early run again. First half was slow, but picked up coming home. Felt tired this morning and could easily have skipped the run and stayed in bed, but the weather forecast was not conducive to that strategy. The fine weather certainly brings more people out early. The Esplanade was busy with walkers etc, taking advantage of the nice conditions. Bay was really flat and peaceful.

Dancing 50:00 [1]

Start of a new lesson program. Decided on next level of modern. Learnt 3 new waltz steps, only 12 new steps to go.

running 1:15:30 [3] 15.1 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: brooks (in a)trance

Headed out early. The plan was 15k, but at the start I was wondering how far I was going to get. Felt flat, but plugged away, and things picked up in the second half.
In the afternoon went down to one of the sailing clubs, which was having an open day. Tried to go out for a sail, but the wind was very light and fickle. Spent a lot of time bearly moving, but was very enjoyable. Signed up for some casual crewing during the summer, there goes what spare time was left.
