running 53:00 [3] 11.1 km (4:46 / km)
shoes: asics kyano 13 (blue)

Relaxed Friday early morning run. This time of year it is still dark at the finish. Looking forward to daylight saving ending, so that atleast part of these early morning runs will be in the light for a while.

running 27:40 [3] 6.0 km (4:37 / km) +40m 4:28 / km
shoes: asics kyano 13 (blue)

This was the first part of todays run. Even paced and comfortable.

running 19:00 [4] 4.2 km (4:31 / km) +60m 4:13 / km
shoes: asics kyano 13 (blue)

Part 2. Gradually increased the pace over the last 4 k, Climb was all from the 2k to 3 k mark, and by that stage the pace up the hill was sub 4.20. Pace maxed at 3:40 when the hill flattened out but kept the legs going.

Tuesday Mar 20, 2007 #

running warm up/down 27:00 [3] 5.9 km (4:35 / km)
shoes: ascis kyano

Brisk warmup/down for a hill sprint session.

running hills 12:20 [5] 2.6 km (4:45 / km) +60m 4:15 / km
shoes: ascis kyano

Hill sprints. Two groups of 5 seperated by a 400m jog. Hard work, and felt tired afterwards. Managed 3 to 3.20 pace up and about 5 minute pace on the jog down.

Exercise session 15:00 [3]

orienteering 59:40 [3] **** 10.0 km (5:58 / km)
shoes: ascis kyano

Control checking for NOL event in May. Some very complex goldmining, interspersed with some fast open forest. Over all very challenging. Spent time control picking in the complex detail, and then running to the next area.
This area has some fantastic detail, and speed varies enormously. In the open areas with no navigational challenges it is possible to run 4s, but in the detail you can be reduced to walking trying to stay in touch with the map.

Sunday Mar 18, 2007 #

running 1:12:00 [3] 15.2 km (4:44 / km) +100m 4:35 / km
shoes: asics kyano 13 (blue)

Sunday morning run along the river. Felt comfortable and didn't push. It was dark this morning with the cloud cover, I was well into the run before it got really light.
