Blind Lane UKEOL. 8th, +5mins to Wooders, 3mins to 2nd, 2mins to 3rd. Doing various organiser-ing beforehand but tried to get into a race mindset, and popped a caffeine gel pre start. Set off too fast, rushing, not full enough plans. Missed #1 (30s) and #3 (35s), planned a route for #6 and ended up on another (~15s), came into the super detailed circle at #7 and didn't check descriptions until I'd faffed for 15s. Pretty much fine after that bar #15 which wasn't really my fault, but still not orienteering particularly well, plans a bit too much "compass and work it out as I go along" which got the job done but not always the fastest.

Hanging controls on Loughrigg. A bit tired but took it easy and was ok. Felt headachy and spacey on one particular steep uphill near the start but that faded back to average.

Hanging tapes for FVO training at Esthwaite. Did some setting up at Blind Lane beforehand which went on a bit later than planned so this was mostly night-O. Managed to not draw one of the controls onto my map but think the ones I hung are in the right place. Excellent fun.
hrv:8.9 Got rather abruptly woken up by a barn owl shrieking outside my window at 5:30 but went back to sleep after. Sleeping pretty well atm.
