Run long (Macquarie Uni to Hornsby) 2:14:00 [3] 20.0 km (6:42 / km) +486m 5:58 / km
shoes: Asics Kayano 19

Run with Mounty and Bart from Macquarie Uni on trails along Lane Cove River through to Pennant Hills Park. Mounty had decided we do a 400m rep at the athletics track. I started pretty thinking I'd pulled away from Mounty but he up to me around 300m and passed me near then end to finish a metre in front on 62 secs. Wasn't sure we were capable of that time so had to rerun the track to measure on the GPS. Turns out it was exactly 400m. Anyway, continued onto Berowra Valley Bushland along the Great North Walk to Fishponds and Hornsby.

Run hills (Observatory Hills) 2:27:00 [4] 18.7 km (7:52 / km) +537m 6:52 / km
shoes: Brooks Cascadia 2010

Annual Observatory Hills, all reps plus one new one.

This year with Brooner, Ondrej, Bart and Mounty for part. This was kind of a last minute session. Then as time progressed beer stops were suggested to be added. In the end we had a beer stop at Lord Nelson after 5 reps, then Hart's Pub after 9 reps where Mounty had turned up in his suit expecting us to be finished and have a beer with us. Unsurprisingly he had his running kit in his bag and continuted on with us. Next stop was at the Australian after 14 reps then at the Lowenbrau after 17 reps. All pubs were great in that you could stand outside in our sweaty gear and drink our beers. Oh and yeah the running was tough. Legs felt very wobbly by the last few reps (from the stairs, not the beer).

Orienteering race (Sydney Summer Series #12) 46:30 [5] *** 8.15 km (5:42 / km) +181m 5:08 / km
spiked:28/30c shoes: Asics Kayano 19 (2)

Started north with 27 then tried to cut through the green towards 5 but wasn't too great. Collected the northern control 24-6-26-19-8-14-23-11 then into the trails around 21-2-30-12-18-10-29-1-16 then an out and back to down the hill to 17 then 3-7-13-25-4-15-9-20-28-22. Good course with a few nice trails and some opportunities to cut through the bush a number of times. Got all controls 1.30 over for 580 points.

Run warm up/down 30:00 [2]
