Note

Golf with Alan at Manor Park. Pretty much as expected having not played for several months, but actually hit some OK shots in amongst the rubbish. Was improving (60 + 51 = 111)

Running 1:56:00 [3] 18.0 km (6:27 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 29

From Te Marua along the ridge track to Pakuratahi Forks, around the loop and back the same way.

Track in really good condition - no wet bits at all. Very enjoyable, though getting a bit bored on the way back. Fell over quite badly and tweaked the groin again - one of those typical problems with an old bit of tree sticking out from the track and being difficult to see in the sunlight and shadow. Reasonably happy with the shape I'm in at the moment.

Running 41:00 [5] 9.0 km (4:33 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 29

Hill intervals at Maymorn, having had to go up there to visit Alan briefly. Short of time so just did them fairly close - on the track where you turn right at the top of the hill and then go down to the pond. Ran back up from the pond to the summit. One set of 4, one set of 3.

Turned out to be quite a bit tougher than the normal hills I use and was in pieces towards the end of the last few. No watch, so don't know how long they took, but probably just over 2 mins? Groin a bit sore again, but not quite in the same area as previously. Still summer weather - how much longer can it last?

Cycling 1:00:10 [3] 25.73 km (2:20 / km)

The Whitemans Valley loop ACW

Felt pretty good, and was a bit surprised not to break the hour. Might be something up with the bike though as I got down Wallaceville Hill without using the brakes for the first time ever. Perfect weather for cycling.

Orienteering 18:00 [3] 3.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 29

More Sprint training round the campuses in the middle of Karori. Very tricky - not easy to keep a good flow. Map not too good in places - didn't show passability of fences / walls very well which made route choice a bit of a lottery. But I should still have been smoother than I was.

Groin seems to be quite a bit better - hardly felt it today at all.

Orienteering 10:00 [2] 2.0 km (5:00 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 29

Warm down trying a few different routes.

Running 1:04:00 [3] 12.0 km (5:20 / km)
shoes: Nike Pegasus 29

Avro - the dead end above Pinehaven - Avian.

Unfortunately the dead end track is now so overgrown that it's impossible to get to the end - spent a few minutes fighting vegetation and gave up.

Kept the pace up, and felt pretty good - hardly any tiredness from the weekend.

Broke my watch yesterday so time is just an estimate (and probably will be for the next few days).
