core/legs 11:00 intensity: (9:00 @1) + (2:00 @2)

Standing leg lifts (both legs), some squats and deadlifts with no weight (both legs), first time all has felt good while I'm doing symmetrical stuff with both legs!

Roller derby 16:00 intensity: (8:00 @1) + (8:00 @2)

ACTUALLY SKATING ON BOTH SKATES!!! <3 <3 <3 Took my laces out of the "heel lock" band that tightens the skates on my right heel, since pressure has irritated my achilles at some points.

Wore my skates down the stairs and over to my own parking lot (very thankful for the part that gets street-swept, bc there's eucalyptus seeds or something all over the rest of it). Did some slow turns down the gentle inclined part, both legs, inside + outside edges each time. Felt good!

Then crossed the street and went in this empty parking garage (usually empty on weekends) and did some laps of opposite-derby-direction crossovers, nothing intense. It felt good to be skating fast-ish in a big space for once! On a nice surface too :)

Noticed a bit of heel pain on a walk later, but I think that may have actually been from walking (after sitting).

aqua-jogging 30:40 [2] 0.0 mi

More aqua-jogging. Put my phone under my hat and joined a zoom brown bag. Works pretty well for stuff outside my area that I just want the gist of.

Apparently the aqua-jogging was really taxing, bc my sleeping HR was super high! Yeesh! (But happy to have found some more intense-ish exercise that I can actually do.) Will probably stick to walking today.

aqua-jogging 34:12 [2] 0.0 mi

HR didn't work after I got into the pool :( But the good news is I finally got some more intense exercise! With 0 pain! And didn't even have to walk all the way to the far swimming pool, bc I realized the residential pool's deep enough for aqua-jogging :D And they take appointments, and everyone stays 6 feet apart (outdoors) :)

core/legs 15:00 [1]

Signed up for this zoom class where I eventually get a free plan from a personal trainer, and I didn't know the course itself included workouts each week! So an un-planned easy-ish core workout.

core/legs 45:00 intensity: (10:00 @0) + (20:00 @1) + (15:00 @2)

A friend from my cohort leads yoga for grad students in our program :) Both feet things are improving, to the point where I can do downward dogs almost symmetrically and can do most weight-bearing stuff except for folding my right toes under :) Yay!

Also no pain while walking today, and my pull buoy and aqua-jogging belt came!
