Great! I interviewed at Reed long ago - really interesting place, top notch faculty, amazing students. For what it's worth, one of the key issues at that time was that students can sometimes absorb all faculty time - so the faculty asked a lot about how i would manage my time to deal with that. I was warned that one faculty member in philosophy (?) was a lot like a student in intensity, and not to let him pester me. Sure enough, at 10:30PM that night he showed up at the B&B and i relented and had a vigorous discussion past midnight. I think my weakness did not work in my favor. I doubt you'll have anything like that experience, but for what it's worth....

The OWL was cancelled?!? :( Its a sad day when I get my astro news from the funny papers.

Will Stromlo or Siding Spring be on the radar sometime? (I'm guessing the limited snow would be a bit of a disincentive - even in the mountains, four months in a good year, two in a bad one, and much of that during the peak of the European O season).

I think there's a postdoc I might apply to in Sydney, but nothing specifically at Stromlo or Sliding Spring. Really just have to wait and see and be patient on all this job stuff!
