Too funny. The cake part, not the being sick part.

Come up with some race you want to do in the spring so we can figure out a training plan for January and February. Billygoat at Moreau? I think that's what I read somewhere - I didn't make it to the US Champs so wouldn't mind orienteering there - even though I'm not convinced I can do a Billygoat in 3.5 hours.

Thanks, Bash! I know I can always count on you to support a sound plan!

Sandy, BG at Moreau is the plan. I did not compete there either. If I finish, but fail to break 3:30 in my third attempt, then I tie a record for that. If so, imagine the glory 2013 could bring me. ;-)

Pictures of cake and Lailah to follow.

I am working on a plan to ease out of the long distance o-races, but Billygoat at Moreau seems to good to pass up. It's more of a long range plan anyway.

Stay away from that record, Valerie -- get the shirt. Doing it with Sandy sounds like an effective plan.

Suggested training plan for the Billygoat does not include cake. :-(

Post race celebrating and refueling may include cake. :-)

The girl next door is Zack's age. When they were little she used to come over to play after school and stay for dinner most days. One evening at dinner I observed to her: "I know what your favorite vegetable is." "What?" she said, not sure that she liked any vegetables at all. "Cake." Seems like a reasonable training option to me.

In 1991, a WOC competitor woke up on the day of the Long race in Czechoslovakia, and was unsure what to eat for breakfast. She asked herself, "What would J-J have for breakfast in this situation?", and decided (probably accurately) that the answer would be "Cake". So she had cake for breakfast. And she finished in 10th place that day. We were so proud of her. True story.
