You saw many more blue footed boobies than we did when we visited; but we did see red-footed ones which are neat too. You also saw many more penguins.
There's a photo of a flock of birds flying at the beach -- that's a fraction of the whole flock, and they were blue-footed boobies going after a school of anchovies or something. They'd all dive into the water at once.
Nancy might have seen a red-footed booby not long after we left Isabela. The guide didn't think it likely, but Nancy looked up his suggestion of a swallowtail gull and didn't think that was it.
I think this was a larger group of penguins than our group leader had ever seen before, by a factor of about two.
