Orienteering race 1:03:28 [5] *** 6.5 km (9:46 / km) +170m 8:38 / km

Nopesport Nottingham City Race
quite a good run, challenging course: we ran 50% over the course distance, forgot to turn the Garmin on but I heard Karl Marshall ran 10.8km and I didn't take any short cuts ... so 11km/63mins doesn't look so bad

undone by the underpass after 13, was tiring and very grateful for a bit of shade, switched off and ran past the steps and saw they'd forbidden any further progress in that direction

most of my mistakes due to fatigue these days ...

Forty-Six Acre Wood
quick run before tonight's barbeque, it was going to be too hot to take to the roads or the moors, but in the shade of a nice wood ... a pleasure

Hall Leys Park & Pic Tor
planning a local event here so decided to test out the 'long' sprint course: 2km as the crow flies, but I ran over 3km. Not bad.

Felt a bit tired after yesterday's efforts and my pace was slower! So didn't run the course twice to try out the alternative routes. Another day.

running warm up/down 20:00 [2] 2.5 km (8:00 / km) +20m 7:42 / km

steady jog/stretch on the way, stroll/jog on the way back

Farley Hill, Upper Lumsdale, Tansley, Matlock Bank
Boom, he breaks the hour barrier for a training run! Beautiful evening, steady pace - only slowed up when the public footpath became a bramble strewn scratch up the slope, and when I forgot the route (twice).

Could the allergy finally be on its way out?
