Green Course at Hibernia.

Did ok! Left the trail too early at #5, was swayed by others and then had to reroute a bit. Got a little confused on my way to 7, which should have been super easy. On my way to 13, I noticed my compass acting weird - it was moving all around and not pointing the way it should have - I knew just where I was and it was not agreeing with me. That made me question things on the rest of the course. #15 was my worst control by far - I had made a route choice and then saw someone running a different direction and it swayed me to follow, and I ended up approaching the cliff control from the bottom. DUH. It was crap to crawl through and up...and that really took it out of me so that running in to the last controls and to the finish felt really hard.

Lesson - don't be distracted by other people! And get a new compass?

I am thankful that I still basically know how to orienteer after a 2+ month break! Perhaps it was the luck of the Irish.... :)
