Today was a flop in the woods. (started my watch late too.) The first control threw me as it was definitely NOT at the top of a reentrant, and on a path that wasn't mapped. (I think?) Then everything fell apart after that as there were many unmapped trails and I was just unsure of everything. I embarrassed myself asking Tom O for help in the woods, and after a while I finally gave up. I am not someone who gives up! But today I just couldn't pull it off. Dan B took pity on me and deleted me from the race. In retrospect, I think that's probably not right and I should own up to my DNF. Trying not to let it get me down, since my pops did so well - he aced the Green ! Great job, Dad. I'm glad you killed it out there today. I pronounce you ready for the Rogaine. :)

don't know if i can keep up this pace at work. i'm so tired by the time i get home, i'm a zombie. it's the gardening that puts me over the edge physically, and the thought of going for a run is ridiculous to my legs, feet, knees and back. plus i've gained a couple lbs...i guess i've been eating more at night and not paying attention as much to what i'm eating. hopefully things will die down a bit after the you-know-what. until then, i guess i'm lucky if i get a little yoga in at night, and can orienteer on sundays.

seriously though this is great experience for when i open my own floral biz someday! - before i'm 50 i hope :)
