Orienteering race 1:13:11 [4] 3.66 mi (20:00 / mi) +758ft 16:43 / mi
shoes: Salomon XT Wings 3

QOC Oregon Ridge Green Course 5.3 km

Got talked into the Green Course :) Mistakes early on, but felt good towards the end. All in all did not do too well but lessons learned. (Contours, contours contours...when will I learn you??)

1- good
2- too far N, wrong ditch
3 - a little confused w how far uphill this one was / bad contour reading
4- good
5- big dum dum too far N and shallow reentrant not as close to water as I thought
6- okay longish leg, lots of rootstocks to choose from, which one?
7- this is where i started to feel good, and began more running (downhills)
8- good
9- good
10-good
11- got a little off course and confused but readjusted
12-most fun control of all! down hill all the way

Nice showing by DVOA - and nice job by all the ladies who beat me on the Green - the Sandies and Dasha. Thanks for making it more fun! You are my inspirado.

Also - maybe need new shoes?? Felt like I was sliding around inside my shoes and couldn't get a grip. Blood blister on big toe shows there was an issue. I'll treat you to a pic of it!

Note

this woman's body was found at ridley about a week after the ridley fox trot...
http://articles.philly.com/2012-12-11/news/3575209...

they did find her car - almost 20 miles away.

ok, i know this is depressing but apparently death by helium asphyxiation is quick and painless.

i guess she wanted to 'disappear'. i'm going to have to believe it's a suicide and not start worrying that running at ridley alone is unsafe.

Yoga/Pilates 1:00:00 [3]
weight:115.4lbs

on demand yoga+pilates - mostly pilates though. harder than i thought it would be! ouch on the core and legs! my legs feel very tired.
