Birthday run from Blaise. With Westbury group 3, who it turns out are quite a bit slower than me.

Asked beforehand what shoes to wear and was told trail. Turns out it was all tarmac and knees will be hurting for a few days now.

Fairly effortless in Blaise, steady up the hill but slowing to let them catch up.

In Henbury the leader got us to do a mile effort around school, went on only 90% effort due to shoes but won easily - 6:06. He said afterward that I should be in group 2 and was faster than any Gp2 people he took around a few weeks ago.

Underlying fitness obviously there, never really trying but keeping a good pace in the heat/humidity. Should try and do more of these sessions.
