Run 5 km SA - Health Rebuild 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km)
Basically did close to zero running for last 6 months.
Went in at least 10 orienteering events but was badly sick several times so walked some and jogged others.
Did multiple 20 km hikes several times a month with groups of 50 people but this was the slow pace of a large group and the hills were insignificant. Walked 2 km to work daily but not every day. I attended the gym ONCE in 6 months so basically all muscle tone gone.
So summary is I can no longer run 5 km continuously and both my heart rate and breathing depth are very bad compared to prior Australian levels. I would pant walking 4 floors up to my apartment compared to Australia where I used to do 52 laps up and down the 3 flights of stairs in the car park.
Target is to run from mothers house to local shops (2.4 km) at least twice a day until I reach the point I can do so without stopping. On Saturdays I will resume parkrun and consider a 30 minute plus time as a bonus.
Had zero sleep overnight after waking at 1 pm yesterday so feel like death but have to start somewhere.
