Morialta with Meetup group in constant rain wearing raincoat and cap.
Let myself down today by not pushing for a run in the morning before the rain settled in.

Run 5 km SA - Official Mawson Lakes 29:21 [3] 5.0 km (5:52 / km)

Fastest 4 km in last 2 weeks I think and back under 30 minutes for 5 km taking almost 1 1/2 minutes off last weeks time.

This must be one of the parkruns with the largest amounts of twists and turns with little red arrow signs everywhere. Pleasant enough views as ran around the edges of the artificial lake for majority of course.

If I am still here next weekend I think I will do the inaugural Cleland parkrun which is completely on trails and I would think hilly as I have walked up there multiple times. I still have Christies Beach, Strathalbyn and Gawler to do. I don't think I can be bothered driving to Renmark to get that one in SA!

Walk - Bush 2:00:00 [2] 6.5 km (18:28 / km)

Round 3 at Morialta.
Hiked up the reverse way to Wednesday to the 2nd Falls and was rewarded with an even more stunning perspective of the view from that side as looking downward without trees obscuring the view.
58 minutes to cover 3.23 km up and 234 m climb.
Sat down under the bridge to spend the day reading amongst the view and sounds of running water but it poured after 3 pages and I couldn't find decent shelter under the bridge or rock overhangs so I bailed.
Went the reverse way back past the first Falls and was again rewarded with a totally different perspective from above.

First 4 km in 24:58.
I got rung up by an ex colleague today, who heard I was back in Australia, and effectively offered a job.
Different industry completely but still manufacturing.
More details early next week and I may consider trialling it for a month as I don't want another situation like the last 6 months.

Walk - Bush 3:13:47 [2] 11.0 km (17:37 / km)

Morialta Falls lowest carpark to third falls, out of park, and then back down to second falls lookout and below, then first Falls lookout (overlooking Sunday's hike a photos) then return.
Absolutely gorgeous day and views spectacular.
People out abseiling down the rock escarpments which I have done before but never here - looked into it previously but never here long enough for it to not be booked out.
Solo trek all day but remembering past special Waterfall explorations with treasured people from my life so wasn't alone.
Time included forced chill out times where I climbed down to tops of various falls and just sat and listened to the running water, looked at the rock faces and blue sky and thought maybe, just maybe things can get better and sat soaking it up the moment.
Can't remember going to the second Falls since a teenager and can never remember going to the third Falls ever.
Nowhere near as steep a climb as yesterday (only 377 metres) but even more scenic.
Sorry I have to say I LOVE Australian landscapes and will never ever get sick of waterfalls.
I have visited more than 50 in Australia and want to see more.

Forced myself to do this prior to a meetup dinner with 40 strangers.
First 4 km in 25:12.
Legs feeling earlier hike and this weeks efforts.
It is starting to get slightly easier and my physical body certainly changing - muscle tone returning and stomach starting to resculpt. My prior "lucky ability" to quickly strip fat starting to reappear.

First 4 km in 26:17.
Then visited local gym to check out their ridiculously expensive weekly prices.
But as part of my recovery plan I could attend 3-5 classes a day if my body can take it so may get my money's worth.
12 PM

Walk - Bush 1:15:01 [3] 4.63 km (16:12 / km)

Hike Waterfall Gully to Mount Lofty.
Hard slog up with 447 m climb. Haven't done this in over 2 years.
Solo but heaps of other people out and about.
Meetup groups do this but at 6:30 pm and I don't want to do it in the dark despite the company.
Ran into the same Novacastrian from Saturday's West Beach park run.
2 PM

Walk - Bush 57:12 [3] 4.0 km (14:18 / km)

Easier hike back down Mount Lofty to Waterfall Gully.

May have to start doing this multiple times a week to build back endurance.

Walk Meetup SA - Health Rebuild 1:30:00 [1]

With 11 people overlapping part of Lochiel parkrun.
Again stopped at cafe although I would prefer the walk to be much longer.

Run 5 km SA - Health Rebuild 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km)

First 4 km 23:34 then walked last km back.
This is going to be a long road back to health.
