Jog / walk around some steep bush tracks between Warranbayne and Boho South. We walked up the steep hills and ran down. It was gorgeous in the bush, with beautiful bush scents. This was followed by a picnic at a beautiful babbling stream near Boho South. Although the highways and towns around here are packed with cars, we have only seen two today, as they all pass this area by. I am reminded that this really is God's own country and l can see why many rogainers (me included) say it is the best rogaining country in Victoria.
Run around Benalla lake and gardens. I felt a bit more alive today as it was a bit cooler after a succession of hot and humid days. It certainly is tourist season here - the lake was busy with runners, walkers, pushers, dogs (l only fell over one), boats, swimmers and a light plane overhead. Most of my neighbours have visitors and the family of 5 arrives today to stay with me for a few days.
Walk around Beleura Hill at Mornington. It was going to be a hot day

Street O at Deepdene. It was a lovely map but the evening was hot and humid, and the course tough. I might sound a bit ungracious, but 7km was too far for C course on such an evening. I jogged half and then gave into the heat and my sore knee and walked the rest. I wasn't super impressed by the control that looked to be on Mont Albert Rd but was in fact on the rail trail below and inaccessible from the road. I didn't feel like being tricked, as it was so hot.
I started off running down Beleura Hill at Mornington but l hadn't worn a hat, it was very glary and l started to get a headache. I walked the rest and was glad to get home. Knee was tweaky too, so maybe l had was just tired...
