I am a bit disappointed to say that my knee swelled a bit after yesterday's gentle bike ride. It looks like I'm in for a long haul before I can even think about running in the bush. But at least I am healthy otherwise, so I have to be glad about that. All I could muster today were the usual exercises.
It was a beautiful sunny weekend in Benalla otherwise and I enjoyed a nice dinner in front of a roaring fire at the Thoona pub, which is definitely the best pub in the area for the 'hungry person' (i.e. most orienteers I know).
I've been a bit lazy this week as l have been very busy at work and l have had a lot of 'life administration', as we call it at work, to attend to. I have builders at Blackburn surrounding the house with huge piles of mud as they put in new drains (designed to stop the house sinking further or cracking into two). I have builders at Benalla repairing the pergola. And l sold my silver subaru this morning - to Bruce P's parents! I then went to pilates and am now on the train travelling to Benalla to collect 'Dumbo' the elephant, which is the unfortunate name Peter has given my new car.
(PS - it is large and grey with a big head and big ears).
I am starting to get a bit bored with these exercises. Patella slipped out a bit last week, doing knockkneed bench presses, which l won't be doing again, and set me back a bit. Very nice dinner in the evening with Suzanne, Bruce and Jane Harries who is visiting from the UK.
