Walked a lap and then started a bit of very slow jogging. Felt alright at this pace!

Field in decent enough condition, but a bit on the sticky side so went for the spikes. Plenty of cow shit about too, fresh.

7 laps of about the 1km. Wasn't sure what I was capable of doing today. Decided to leave Tim go, easy decision there. So stuck with Martin for a while with Arthur around the place too. After maybe the 3rd lap Martin got a gap so then tucked in behind Arthur. 5 laps gone I let Arthur go, definitely starting to feel the race and also small bit of a stitch. At least legs felt ok. Robert was getting closer after I let Arthur get away and came by on the downhill before the start of the last lap, wasn't able to stay with him. Then on the back straight George came by. Things were not going well now.

Managed to hold onto George up the hill so then considered whether he'd have a sprint, he didn't, so got away from him in the end.

Main thing was that the legs made it around the race. So can take what I learnt today forward to next Sunday.

Lap and a bit with Tim Long. Tommy joined us for the 2nd lap. Legs tired which is alright, better than hurting.
