Partial Nottingcook boundary walk with Ken: dry, became nice. Wasn't looking forward to seeing logging: D&D as in death & destruction. That's a problem with mapping private property...a lovely wood of old pine and rhodendron reduced to stumps. At one point, I could look up a few contours to see the boulder &RS that were the first brown point on day 1 at the '07 A meet - the boulder that I did find on the night O run a few weeks ago when landsmarks were at best confused due to logging. The RS was there, small & worn but present amongst the stumps. Walked the Panhandle to the Hooksett border which was fun as it was entirely new. Noted property AS owns adjacent to Merrill Crossing - need to get in touch. Came up to
south end of Hornbeim swamp where Beth & I & dogs spent some time last summer. Passed by more
beer cans & shot gun casings in exiting. Sigh, tears everywhere: "Cry for my beloved ...fellow man":).
