Walking 15:00 [1] 0.5 mi (29:59 / mi)

DP, rain turned to an icy sheet drive but cured with handfulls of sand. Parson's for that reason as PL entrance looked almost treacherous. School bus wanted to turn where we were parked, Z took her sweet time in getting in car. 50F day in the making.

Road running 53:04 intensity: (43:04 @3) + (10:00 @4) 6.2 mi (8:34 / mi) +134m 8:01 / mi
shoes: Nike Lunarglide 3

Little Pond-Fisk loop inspired by the spring-like (51F) noon hour. Twice
hit wrong button on 305 (ran some 4' w/ it off) - only possible 'excuse' being the Casio (worn 99% of the time) has the buttons reversed. Before an O run when splits are intended w/ 305, have to remind myself "right button beginning & end", "left button at all controls". Tried to/couldn't repair data on splits one and two. Need the HRM - av heart rate has to be best indicator as to how "honest"/hard the workout actually is...getting there. New shoes - about time. Stamp out cheapness...

Using treadmill at gym w/ mph settings & realizing I was looking at mph settings on the watch today stirred up some self-competition

7 mph = 8.57'/mi= 8'34"/mi
7.5mph = 8'0"/mi
8 mph = 7'30"/mi

settings am getting used to - when I noted watch gave
mph, got to running faster - tried briefly for 10mph downhill - saw 9.4 but mph needs some averaging I'd guess.

Spring is around the corner - what could be better.

Mt. Washington again - in today's MONITOR - half page color photo in winter looking S from Washington, Lakes of Clouds hut, distant in foreground and other Presidentials behind. Cardigan & Moosilauke bring up a distant rear.
