Snowshoe hike with Janet at Hand Hollow Preserve (in the part I had never been in). One big climb (~100m) on an old road, and then wandered around in a generally flat area. A nice pond near the top and generally open woods. Trails have been streamered in the area but not yet cleared, so we did the exercise of trying to locate the next streamer to keep following where the trails might eventually go. Got to a few dead ends and also bushwacked a bit (actually it was almost all bushwacking since there has been no work done to clear the trails). Low 30's and overcast with about 3" of snow on the ground (so we didn't really need the snowshoes).
