Fail.
Different race today - Faster start, as usual I took a wee while to get going - but about 5 or 6 laps in I joined in the ERC fun. Somehow all the ERC riders were on better form and we took it in turns to attack, one after another - making anyone else work to pull them back - If not attacking we were blocking. I hit the from 2 or 3 times I think. Finally at 2 laps to go Nick got away and stayed away for the win - brilliant. I was in the bunch for the sprint but was not near enough the front and it was a bit strung out so I think I only passed a couple of riders. 14th ish.
It will be hard to get 5 more points in road races as they are all 3, 4 cat. Hope for some better course and broken fields and maybe I can patch enough together through June...

legs felt rubbish but numbers were ok. Decent times on the climb with farly low HR.
Worryingy though I though I might do a finishing sprint at the top of the climb on the last lap. Nothing - legs burned up immediately.

This started fast, I found myself at the back
Worked my way into it and as per usual moved more to the front as we entered the second half of the race. During the first half there was a bit of cat and mouse on the front with the pace slowing into the pretty stiff easterly wind. Rain came on in the second half and the pace went up. The race began to string out a bit and I was in a reasonable place - top 20 ? Then a break went . It was well timed since the pace was up and bring it back was going to be hard for anyone. It was started by one of our riders so no responsibility on ERC to bring it back. They (5 riders) managed to stay off the front, though it was close to being caught. In the final 3 laps I wound things up to stay forward with the chasing bunch. came into the final hairpin up in the bunch, then the sprint - passed maybe 3 or 4 riders didn't get passed but things were a bit spaced out so didn't make massive progress in terms of position. Finished top 15 I think ? Disappointed.
Felt a bit wrecked afterwards.
Still not back on top form, better than last week but more to come - hopefully by Saturday.
