Running hills 34:00 [5]

Long hills from DAP. Psycho buzz was hanging around the top of the track by the gate, so turned R at the turning circle and climbed to the top quarry pond instead. 5 x reps of 6:47, 6:44, 6:52, 6:49, 6:39 with jog back between off a 12:30 cycle. Last one felt tough, but focussed on keeping some form and using my arms, and it ended up fastest. Pleased with the session, especially after a poor night's sleep and feeling pretty rubbish when I set off. Recovery from Fri seemed good.

Wanted to get my long run out of the way before the w/e so that I can enjoy parental company without twitching to get out. Plan was Mount Keen from Stableyard to give a long track run (~12km) out before the climb. Definitely didn't feel totally recovered from Su / Tu and it felt a bit of a plod out, but it was slightly uphill, into the wind and hot. ~67' to the foot of the hill, then ~42' to the top. Was able to kind-of-run most of the path up to the shoulder, but died on the last steep climb. Descent back to the foot didn't feel great either (~23') as the track has got quite badly washed out. Got going a bit better on the run back down the glen and kept an ok pace, despite feeling tired and uncomfortable (~63').
Overall happy.

Round the woods and taking in a few climbs. Still tired from Tues, but quads more or less recovered.

Running intervals 36:00 [5]

DR - 8 x 2'+1' round the 2 bridges followed by 6 x 1'+1' hills over the top. Hadn't really intended to do the hills as well, but couldn't really find a good reason not to. Quads have been in DOMS since Sunday, but were ok on the flat stuff. First couple of hills went ok, until the anaerobic effort kicked in, then I died.
