Note

Another early morning, and long day - out of the house at 5:30 AM, and home at 6 PM . Timed a triathlon in Rocky Gap, MD. Went fairly well after getting someone to read the poorly drawn numbers on the runners' arms after the swim. Since it was the race director reading the numbers off, and he was also struggling, maybe he will really try to resolve this for next year.

Beautiful day in the shade with a breeze off the lake. Only bummer was the traffic congestion back on 70, and at the 70/270 exit. But I was smarter today and stopped at the rest stop halfway home. :)

Walking (Fair Hill) 2:45:00 [2] 8.0 mi (20:37 / mi)
shoes: Ice Bugs - Red Storm

Met Sandy at Fair Hill to pick up controls for the Colorado events, and to have a walk and talk.

Trip up starting at 6 AM was a breeze after recovering from the poor execution of the detour around the S Capitol ST bridge closure. Sandy was a little later due to construction on 95.

Sandy used an O map to lead the way from behind, and I kept talking away. Some trails were a little overgrown. Got a tour of some fields as well. A few horses, hikers, and dogs (all on leash).

Traffic home was a breeze until hitting the tree work on the BW PKWY. Of course I had to go to the bathroom by this time, but decided to stick it out until I got home. That guaranteed that things were going to get worse, and they did. The bridge detour was jammed, so I ended up going down to the Wilson Bridge and home from Telegraph Road.

Beautiful day for a hike, and enjoyable conversation as well. Thanks, Sandy!
