Running (father daughter time :D) 1:00:00 [3]

Dad announced he was going for a run again, so of course i had to go too, though i really didn't want to- not usually my idea of a good way to spend ur birthday. it actually ended up being good, and at the end i had that satisfied sorta feeling :)
dad seemed to be going at a better pace for longer, and after one of his little stops in the shade i said we had to do 200 double-paces before walking again, and he didn't say anything but i said it out loud each fifty and he actually did it! then our track sorta disappeared/headed straight up ainslie, so we went across country! got pretty thick and scratchy but we eventually hit the road. so yeah it was a run, walk and bushwalk but it was pretty tiring anyway.

Note

looking to buy a watch for running, but not really sure what sorta level i want, from something like a timex ironman (with lap recall and all those sorts of timing functions), to heart rate monitors, to garmins (which seem pretty expensive!) so yeah i'm not really sure whether ones like garmins etc are worth me investing in at this level of running and orienteering. any ideas?

Running 22:44 [4]

did my loop thingo. it really wasn't too bad, and wasnt much off my best time for it i don't think, but now i feel pretty ill. and it's dinner time and i can't face the thought of food. i've only eaten crap since about wednesday, and haven't caught up on sleep yet, so i think it's just due to pushing myself too hard without enough energy to run on. actually, i'm not sure if that works because unhealthy foods still have lots of energy don't they? maybe it's the lack of protein or something. i don't know, but i really need to eat some nutritious food.

in other news, today was me and elly and nomi's HOT DATE! it was sooo good to see elly :D 3xLOVE, then a whole lot of aimless wandering in the shopping centre. sorry if it was too boring elly :P but yeah we talked lots :)

Cycling (to and from the hot date!) 30:00 [3]

with detour! they've closed part of anzac parade so i had to go a strange route. still it was pretty good.

Note

it's been a craazy week that's for sure. i had my formal and then an afterparty/sleepover at which i didn't sleep, and then end of school stuff including an assembly. graduation's next week though. so yeah i haven't run but i didn't really have the chance. let alone the energy. i was running on adrenaline for ages anyway!

(kidcity :D) 1:00:00 [2]

my friends youth group had a night at kidcity and they could take friends, so some of us went along! it was funn, despite how silly it sounds. kidcity is an indoor playground, so you basically crawl through tunnels and walk along rope bridges and go down slides and throw balls at each other in the ball pool. hehe awesomee and it actually got quite tiring at some points :P

Note

can't be botheredddd to train today. unless i go later after dinner i guess. thinking about going to bilbies intervals tomorrow... but i'm scared :P does anyone else ever go and could tell me what it's like/whether i'd be good enough/ random on the side?

Running 22:00 [3]

so when i asked dad what coures he wanted to do at xmas 5 days he said he'd do the 5km ones. hehe. this is amusing only because he takes long enough doing orange courses at twilight events and hasn't done many red courses! and he wants to do 5km red courses in the middle of summer on really hard maps... anyway. so tonight he decided he was going to go running coz he had to be trained up for them :P and therefore i was meant to go... but it was only an hour after dinner and i felt bleurgh. dad has two paces. very fast, and walk. he runs and walks intermittently, and won't listen to me and go slower when he runs and run for longer. sighh. i guess it's embarassing to take advice from ur teenage daughter.
