Run hills (50% terrain) 1:19:00 [3]
I like it how I sometimes surprise myself. Been aware I haven't been too good at using the weekends for long runs to keep my hours (oh all right, my minutes) up, so even though today was a (admittedly relaxed) work day wanted to get out for an hour or so. Didn't really feel into it when I started though & almost thought I'd just warm up then turn round to home again. But then something just clicked...
Through the rock garden, up the mega climb (with no walkitis outbreaks! how did that happen?) from little tutu to the head of the secret valley and biggest explore of the secret valley yet. Enjoyed the long gentle descent from the ruins to the valley floor (despite the little voice getting louder and louder on the subject of how I was going to have to climb back out at some stage). Then a few false starts & a bit too much walking getting out of the valley - was going to have an explore in the pines but discovered a nasty short in the fencing (now I think about it, should have brought telemetry gear up with me and had a sweep for one of our wandering juveniles who's signal was last heard in these pines a week+ ago) so back down via little tutu again. Then dropped out on to Tutu Road to stretch the legs out on the way home. Too tired to watch my footing so after friday's good efforts have probably ended up with shitty shoes after all.
Saw a whole heap of bunnies, and a scaredy-cat on its way into Herekawe to no doubt eat some robins.
