Went into this expecting a trail run with occasional bush sorties for controls, which I figured my legs could just about cope with after yesterday. Instead got my favourite kind of bush-bashing-through-shitty-Sydney-scrub orienteering with some bonus bingo and badly mapped controls for good measure.

I made it to 3 before I was fed up of the scrub going the direct way to 4, but there was respite with a track route to 5 before getting thoroughly pissed off arsing around in shit scrub too high and along from 6. Then did what many others did and took off up the trail on the wrong ridge 90° out to 7, only realising at the top when I stopped long enough for my bubble filled compass to settle.

Slogged the trails to 8 (but missed the junction) and 9 where I got very lucky in bingo amidst unmapped rock. 10, being metres away from the track, and not further plus up a couple of contours as the map suggested, eluded me for some time until it was spotted from the track. Grinding from the to the finish.

Not my idea of a fun morning out.
