Running 10:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 1130

wu wee bit of running, drills and stretching.

Orienteering race 1:01:50 [4] *** 9.6 km (6:26 / km) +100m 6:07 / km
ahr:173 20c shoes: Integrator Silver Fox

CompassSport Trophy, Fineshade Woods, Englandshire.

This looked like it was going to be utterly hideous, but was actually quite fun, in an extended orange course kinda way. No mistakes, but quite a few hesitations - do I take the long route round the tracks or the not-quite-so-long route round the rides? And also faffs in grot, although I wouldn't say I was being as tentative as I thought I may be.

I can see where my couple of minutes to Roger were, but have no idea how I could find 12 minutes to OJ's winning time. Oh well, did enough to score some meaningful points for the best wee club in the world.

Enjoyed this weekend, bizarrely, especially when I was able to get home and watch the Brazilian GP. Delighted our chum JB was able to sew up the championship prior to the last race, which happens to coincide almost exactly with a small road race I've entered. If only I'd put a pound on him winning the F1 championship back when I spotted him in 99....

Running 27:20 [3] 3.46 mi (7:54 / mi)
ahr:139 shoes: Asics Gel 1130

Didn't much fancy the park o, lunch appealing more, but thought I'd better do something so headed out round the Chasewater as soon as we arrived. Felt fairly pants to start, no change there then. 2x30s strides at the end.

Running 47:00 [3] 4.26 mi (11:02 / mi)
ahr:136 shoes: Asics Gel 1130

Fi and I know how to have a good time, so went for an evening run round Polmaise, in the dark. Then I did 4x50seconds strides/reps on the road.

Running intervals 24:00 [5]
shoes: Asics Gel 1130

Tick. Another quality session in the bag. 8x2 mins, 1 off.

Up at the yooni pitches. Well, I think that's where we were - it was a bit dark. Took things pretty steady and was nice and consistent; pretty much a lap of the pitch each time. Roger was going well, especially considering he did a bonus 2 to start.

Running warm up/down 46:00 [2]
shoes: Asics Gel 1130

wu round the loch, drills
wd round the yooni

Stretching 20:00 [1]

Tight glutes/ITB area. Good stretch, possibly made things a wee bit worse. Oh well, two steps back... Also tight calfs and sore L achilles - couldn't even stretch my left calf properly. Great shape!

Pilates 30:00 [2]

Lard tried a new exercise. It was rubbish.

Circuits 40:00 [3]
shoes: Asics Gel 1130

Not exactly the most intense session of my life.

Note

Just got a nice wee letter through the post: 1st Scot at Glasgow 10k. Rosco is now £75 richer:)
