Real snowstorm last night; about 8 inches with more still falling. Needless to say, the 4:55 was late. Knowing I'd just be standing on the platform for 20 minutes waiting for the next train, I ran a bit longer and caught the 5:21.

Back home. Grand to Forsythe with the intention of catching the bus at Great Harvest. Got a call from Kate halfway there telling me that things had gone from very bad to even worse with our old beagle. She hasn't been eating or drinking for a few days; she's clearly in so much pain (despite generous doses of pain meds) that she just wants to die. I caught the bus a few stops earlier so I could get home in time for the vet appointment where her wish was granted. I will miss her. A lot.
