Teering race (WA Champs) 1:14:07 [5] *** 10.0 km (7:25 / km) +330m 6:22 / km
spiked:14/19c shoes: Twister

Long M45 - 1st, Bells Rapids. Straight 7.8km. Again, good area, good course, good map. Problems were self inflicted - no attack point for 2, so missed it by about 1:30. Again a vague attack point for 3 so missed by about 30 seconds. 8 was a bit strange - checked off 3 big features on the way and went off the bare rock-in-yellow AP due south of the control, but still ended up in rocks to the west. Not sure how that happened - lost about 1 minute. At 11 checked off lots of stuff on the way but took a lot of time in the circle on the mapped "stony ground" before heading over to the control - another minute, and essentially exactly the same thing at 15. So all in all dropped about 5 minutes on a perfect run.

Teering race (WA Champs) 38:01 [4] 5.0 km (7:36 / km) +185m 6:25 / km
spiked:9/13c shoes: Innov8 Mudclaw 270

M21, Middle, 3rd, Bells Rapids. Straight 4.1km. Reasonable run, but still lost lots of time. Dropped about 30 seconds on no. 2, couldn't see the feature from the rock cluster in the circle to the south. Dropped more (1:30?) on 4 after getting onto the wrong spur - had approached without a definite entry point. Another 45 seconds on 7 after I overshot it by sprinting on the path to the west. With Tash the dog here (Tash did 44 minutes) and that could have contributed. Luckily Tash went off with Dalto after he passed me here. Got 10 and 11 OK but Cath and others much quicker, not sure how. Totally misread the map on 12 and dropped about 2 contours below it before stopping - another minute. So 3:45 all up off a near-perfect run. Pretty happy with the wine glass for the podium spot though.

Lighter session. Booked in to the physio for Monday, in case I get injured over the weekend.

Running intervals 47:40 intensity: (41:00 @3) + (6:40 @5) 9.4 km (5:04 / km)
shoes: ASICS DS Trainer

Training with Perth Glory on McGillivray. 8X400: 77 (70) 77 (90) 77 (60) 78 (2:20) 76 (60) 77 (85) 74 (97) 74. The recoveries were until I felt I could go again - sometimes took my pulse back under 120. Pretty variable, its been a very long time since I've done track work. The GPS thought it was longer than 400 - say 420m (between 410.3 to 435.4 for exactly the same lap). Might have started from the wrong mark on the outside lane.
ENT specialist in Nedlands. Chronic allergic rhinitis - no cure, no treatment.

Cycling (Shelley) 1:23:00 intensity: (23:00 @3) + (52:00 @4) + (8:00 @5) 42.0 km (1:59 / km)

WAR. A catch up session - and otherwise if it rained tomorrow morning I'd be looking at no cycling at all this week.
