Inline Skate 45:00 [2]

Tried out my shiny new inlines around the smoothest roads in B-Town I could find. Of course, without brakes, I had to be somewhat conservative with the route. Dragging one skate behind seemed to work okay, but I cringed at the thought of the damage I was doing to my lovely 100 mm wheels.

Mtn Bike 1:30:00 [2]

Tested the MTB-O course at Mansfield for Bash. It's going to be really fun for the racers. I found it really challenging to match speed with accuracy. I'd be going along, having fun on the trails...and then....oops, sh!t...I passed the CP I think.

Mtn Bike 30:00 [2]

Biked home from Bash's place along Humber Station. Glorious weather.

Mtn Bike 1:20:00 [2]

Up to Albion Hills and back to say hello to the crew doing the MTN Bike-O training session. The bugs are out now - thankfully, I had sunglasses on the ride home because all I could feel were bugs pinging off my body by the dozens.

Trek 1:20:00 [1]

A quick week's end jaunt up a little bit of elevation behind the hotel. With Mont Blanc towering overtop and a bluebird day, Chamonix is a stunning locale.

Paddle 3:45:00 [3]

Headed up to Lake Couchiching for a session in Leanimal's Mom's kayak. It's a sturdy and stable craft - perfect for the super wavy conditions about 1/4 of the way into the trip. Spray skirt...not so water proof but I stayed very warm. GNR and Metallica were the bands of choice for me to sing their tunes out loud when the conditions got epic...nothing like metal, waves, and high winds! Zoo, you would have loved it...

Trail Run 1:00:00 [3]

Off the plane from Van city and onto the HVHTA trail after some thumbs of death treatment. Had to walk a bunch on the way back - too much knee pain. Very frustrating...I yelled some bad words out loud.

Mtn Bike 3:30:00 [3] 0.0 km

A dental appointment gave me a few more hours of daylight to play with so out on the 29'er I went - headed to The Grange hill, Belfountain, and back. My left knee started hurting about 25 km into the journey and only got worse from there. Not to be left out, my right knee issue flared up a little later. Good to get the distance in but my knees feel just as bad as after the E-Fix. Not good.

Weights 50:00 [4]

Road Run 47:00 [3]

Run in the evening sun around B-Town. Nearing the end, the knee wasn't happy. Grrrrr

Paddle 3:00:00 [3]

Paddled around Stoco Lake (where StT was yesterday) with PhattyJR. It was pretty chilly and wavy on the lake but much nicer on the rivers and bays off of it.

Weights 1:00:00 [3]

Killer upper body session - I'm sapped!

Mtn Bike 1:50:00 [3]

Fast-paced ride around the hills of Caledon with Goose and Leanimal. We even made Leanimal get her nice new tomato red / white Salomon Trail Runner LS Tech T a little mud splotched with some Albion Hills CA trail riding.

Trail Run 46:00 [3]

Quick trail run behind our hotel here on Lake Joseph. Unreal weather out.

Weights 1:00:00 [3]

Back on the LRG4 program after a few weeks off for E-Fix and recovery. Felt decent with the weights.

Saw Billbo Wells today and thanked the chiro gawds that there's likely no meniscal tearing - just a whack of other soft tissue stuff that will kill to fiz no doubt...but that's a piece of cake to deal with!

Road Ride 2:00:00 [3]

Planned on a long solo session but my knees said no. Gloriously sunny and warm day. Kept getting passed by loads of motorbikes.

Core Workout 1:00:00 [1]

Gave one of Leanimal's Rodney Yee DVDs a go.

Mtn Bike 2:00:00 [3]

Managed to convince The Bakes to head out on a ride. We played some mental games with a couple of roadies who blew by us without saying hello. So we gave chase, caught them on the uphill, and drafted off them for a bit. Then we dusted them when one of their water bottles fell off. Advantage mtn bikers!
