Waited for the thunderstorms to pass through before I headed out for my weekly long run. I pushed up my 2 hour run by one week (since I'll be at the LAOC event next Sunday) so I decided to give myself a break and run on the river trail today. It's flatter than Clinton, with no rocks.

Had to stop often to clear branches from the trail. Passed one or two that I could not move. Another runner helped me move one. At the half way point, I ran into some bikers (who go in the opposite direction) and they said they had cleared for me. They obviously moved some big things, but they left plenty of things on the trail that I needed to move. I guess runners and bikers see branches differently :)

Ran into Mike, as he was mountain biking on the same trails, but started later.

I thought this would be easier than Clinton, but it was pretty tough. Maybe I was running faster on the smoother surface? Maybe I pushed too hard yesterday? Legs started to get really tired by 80 minutes. The last nine minutes of running were especially tough. And I was not yet at the end of the loop! I decided to walk back to the car instead of running some more, which took an extra 15 minutes.
