Made it home woot. Easy ski around TD with Carol and Jon. Super nice and warm out, but the snow was still speedy.

Made it to Phoenix, sat on the next plane for a while until they kicked us all off. Said it was too windy to land in Reno and cancelled the flight. Got rebooked through LAX tomorrow night, 25 hours later. Yay.

German cup open long race, which was the same as the men's wcup relay leg from today. Slushy and soggy, but sunny weather and 45* so much nicer than yesterday. A few trails were muddy stream beds, but I hit those going uphill and had pretty good kick so it's all good. Ended up second, a minute behind.

Sprint relay with Anna. It's 40-some degrees and super foggy, so the snow is either soggy or nonexistent. Like where we skied 30ft across an entire chippered pine tree. They can't take scooters into the forest here, so they set a bunch of trails around some houses in a field. Would have been pretty cool if the snow was better.

Masters champs long distance. My knee hurt more today than yesterday, so I was wimping most of the downhills, of which there were a few stupid long narrow ones. Lots of big trail skating without much route choice, so not really a very interesting course. Fell a few times and busted up my thumb pretty good. Otherwise an ok ski. Think I was 10th.

World masters ski-o day 1 middle. Pretty much all big trails, with a few dashed connectors here and there. Had a good race, made one legit mistake and a couple route choices that could have been better. Snow was super cold and squeaky, but pretty solid, not really what I was expecting after yesterday. In 6th place (middle results are combined two-day middle times), but like 10 minutes back.

- Monterey at thanksgiving, with some kayaking and Big Sur and aquariums. Stupid water marmots.
- Hawaii in December, with lots of snorkeling pictures of fishes, and then all the rest with volcanoes and stars and critters.
- Also the new year's eve light show with road flares and glowsticks at TD downhill.

Blue ski-o at TXC. map1, map2. Snow wasn't totally solid, so shortcuts were key as long as they were done carefully. Went late in the day after everybody else was out, so it had warmed up a lot and many of the trails were soft and gluey. But there were tons of tracked shortcuts that everyone else had already made, so that made up for it.
