Orienteering race 50:00 [5] 8.0 km (6:15 / km)
Spook relays at Stanton Moor on a cold and foggy day. Actually it was all very atmospheric with wisps of fog wafting in and out of the trees and a great view of the mist-blanketed valleys when it cleared. Ran legs 2,4,6 with Nails and managed to hold a lead throughout, although I did have the not insignificant advantage of having made the map about 8 months ago. One or two hesitations and about a 30 second miss on the second lap, but other than that it was all fine. It's a tough and rough area though, every footstep brings a surprise. Was impressed/amazed at Danger, who ground out the full 6 laps all on his own!
Running 50:00 [2] 8.0 km (6:15 / km)
Warm up, warm down, running in between loops to try to stay warm, and a spot of control collecting afterwards. Lots of running about, I'm tired.
Note
SPOOK dinner - great do down at Cutlers Hall. A bit posher than usual, but that didn't mean that it was any less rowdy.
