Day 2!
Bessy boot, glaramara, allen crags then esk haws, styhead and back down to wasdale head.
Took me a while to get going as was straight up a steep hill at the start but felt decent after like 3k so was good fun after that. Very nice day and I’m now rocking the t-shirt and shorts tan! Descent was all good until I fell on me arse going down a loose rock path and then was careful from then on lol.
Really enjoyed this weekend and proved to myself I can do the distance - rest for the Saunders now!

Out with Dad and his 2 mates on the fells. Carrying a sack but had more weight than I will have next week at the Saunders, no real problems with that so all is good there. Had the standard mental breakdown at like 3k but continued cos finally figuring out how to work with them haha. Felt decent, was pretty dead at the end but that was expected obviously haha.
Kirk fell, great gable, green gable, base brown, brandreth, grey knotts, then down to honister and then to campsite at rosthwaite. Followed by a well earned meal at the pub!
Also is very good that my achilles has not been causing me any problems lately and all is sound after this too. Think it’s finally alright like.

Red Pike in the mist & rain
Steep grind then awful, hard going ground on the descent. Be good training over the tough ground so that’s good. Had a sack on preparing for the saunders
Think I needed the bit of the break but I’m back now feeling more confident & motivated! :) xx
