Note

21st forest event for the season.
Organised (with Julie) the event on Kooyoora... the only one for this year.
Very happy with the feedback from competitors on the easy, moderate and short hard courses. The orienteers on the longer hard courses were always going to be happy with this terrain. The challenge was to design courses the less skilled or less able bodied would enjoy. No dnfs or mps on any of the easier courses.
The red blob on the map represents an area of cultural heritage we were to keep out of. This made course setting a little more difficult with a longer walk to the start. But it wasn't insurmountable, unlike other recent moves to make orienteering more difficult. The list includes-
Banned from two thirds of Mt Alexander.
Banned from the Crusoe Lake Park.
Banned from the southern half of One Tree Hill.
No parking withing Kooyoora or Mt Korong Park boundary.
I hear on the grapevine Black Hill will never be used.
In my darker moments I fear this is a creeping exclusion that will kill the psort around here.
