Running 31:18 [3] 5.5 km (5:41 / km)

Went up Diamond Hill, and back along the Bushland Trail next to the res; pushed it on the hills. Had to ease off on occasions, but generally felt ok. Legs were a bit sore in various places. Nice morning for running. Stopped about 100m early to poke an echidna. Plan for summer is to get some longer runs happening...

Orienteering race (Maze-o) 5:00 [3] *****
spiked:0/8c

Good fun...helped once I realised I had my map upside down.

Riding 30:00 [3] 10.0 km (3:00 / km)

Rode to a friend's place in Kangaroo Flat.

Riding warm up/down 43:00 [2] 14.0 km (3:04 / km)

Rode to and from intervals.

Running warm up/down (recoveries) 15:00 [2] 1.8 km (8:20 / km)

Recoveries between intervals and a little bit before and after. Afterwards went up the hill again slowly. Legs felt absolutely dead when I first started after getting off the bike.

Running hills 4:00 [4] 1.0 km (4:00 / km)

Have been getting sore from the intervals at the track, so tried to make myself hurt another way today. It worked. Went for 1min up a hill in Royal Park from the tennis courts. Had planned to do 5 (and 1 min 20s each), but felt bad in the 1st, worse in the 2nd, relatively good in the 3rd and bad in the 4th. (measured distance with bike speedo, should be about 250m each hill)
No training until at least Saturday methinks, to see if I can feel a bit less dead when running :-)

Note

Eugh, 'too hot to live' as I heard someone say. Definitely too hot to train. A hayfeversome day. And now it's just got smokey...
