Riding 59:07 [3] 19.55 km (3:01 / km)

Legs are still pretty stiff. Rode fairly hard most of the way, couldn't go for any longer though because I wanted tea. Saw Ilks out running on the way back :-)

Riding 25:00 [2] 8.0 km (3:08 / km)

I couldn't stand the heat so I got out of the kitchen. 26 degrees is too hot for me :-( Legs were still dead, and it hurts to walk wegen very sore glutes. I think I should have done the girls course yesterday!

Orienteering race (Primary Schools Champs!) 17:25 [3] ** 2.7 km (6:27 / km) +50m 5:54 / km
spiked:16/17c

Couldn't match it with the big boys (Rob, Toph and Scammell), but just outdid the young 'ens! Overshot #3 a bit. Quite embarrassing on a course for the under 12's, but there you go!
6th time at the Primary Schools champs, but the first in a while!!
Legs were pretty dead and they didn't want to go fast.

Note

Spent a while wandering round helping lost kids, 15 mins collecting controls and about 1/2 an hour walking to the event. Quite happyI didn't get mugged on the train/walking to the event or overshoot the platform into an intersection, it wasn't nearly as scary as expected! My impression of St Albans/Keilor Downs/Kealba has skyrocketed.

Note

Hmmm...the temperature here reads 4 degrees, feels like -1...the Bureau says 11 degrees, feels like 7. Who to trust?

Gym (Body Step) 55:00 [3]

Just didn't have any energy tonight and felt really tired, possibly because I am actually tired :-) Calves were also tight even before I started. Very sad when I thought I'd missed the first half of Inspector Rex, happier when I realised I still had another 23.5 hours to go. Is it really only Wednesday?

Running warm up/down 15:30 [2]

Warmed up halfway around the Crescent and back b/w Hilda's and Ormond; 9 mins. Warmed down around the oval; 6.30 mins. Legs were really dead by the start of the warm down.

Running intervals 13:35 [4] 3.0 km (4:32 / km)

((200 float, 300 hard)x3)x2

Wasn't expecting anything brilliant as Sunday was a pretty big day of training by my standards (yes it takes me a while to get over these things). I managed to continue the trend of my intervals getting slower for the past 3 times.
6.44 first set, 6.51 second set.
Finished the last one pretty hard in an effort not to disgrace myself :-) Shins were a little bit sore, not as bad as they have been, and they were fine on Sunday, so maybe I've got them under control. I'll have to keep an eye on them.
