Running 13:57 [4] 3.14 km (4:27 / km)
shoes: Asics road runners

Bit of fartlek to the cross roads and back. Can really feel my fitness having slipped, obviously as a result of not having run for a few days. Really need to get some quality sprint training in before Devon Schools on Saturday where I'm running 300m and 300m hurdles.

Ironically, that pace per km is only a few seconds per km quicker than I ran the other day on the Mill Loop with Jonty, which is about twice the distance I ran today.

Splits: 7.00, 6.57

Cycling 30:00 [4] 14.5 km (2:04 / km)
shoes: Asics light

'Relaxed' cycle to get legs working again, bit of easy, steady fitness. Very hot once again, and I forgot my water so I had to yell for les parents to get some for me ;) and I burned 260 calories.

Cycling warm up/down 5:00 [3] 1.6 km (3:07 / km)
shoes: Asics light

Note

The Rome Diamond League is on TV NOW! BBC 3 guys, watch it, should be a cracking 100m and then other British interest as well including Jo Pavey in the 5k (local runner :D).

Running tempo 13:27 [5] 3.14 km (4:17 / km)
shoes: Asics road runners

Decided to do a tempo run to the crossroads and back (nice one Ellie after athletics last night....).

Went really good and I got a new PB;) although, I did have a minor hair malfunction about 200m after I left at the top of our hill. But apart from that, it was all good :D

Splits: 6.43, 6.44

Athletics 1:00:00 [4]
shoes: Nike Spikes

Trekked to Taunton where I felt like a boss in my Devon Hockey hoodie on a Somerset Athletics track. #judgement

Worked on starts and run in (50m) to the first hurdle and then keeping up the pace to the second hurdle (35m after). Had to cut down my stride to the first hurdle because it was a little messy, but on a race day, it should be ok. Buzzing for Devon schools in a couple of weeks!

Note

I went outside to play hockey, but then a strange car turned up and I was like woah strange man in the courtyard. But he was just coming to look at the car so it's all good :') But then I had to stop playing hockey cos it was annoying lol.

Note

as i was doing some biology revision, the textbook mentioned a hag fish, so I googled it and woah they're so cool! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bb2EOP3ohnE

Running 32:57 [4] 7.1 km (4:38 / km)
shoes: Asics road runners

Ran with Jonty to Payhembury where he bought some chocolate from the shop, whilst I carried on. And he caught up with me by Clyst William Cross but it was my aim to get there first so I'm happy [totally unrealistic for me to get home before him :')].

For the last mile or so I got pins and needles in my left foot, I don't know why, so it needed a lot of massaging when I got home!
